Since 2017, more than 27 clear aligner products have come on the market. With so many options, it can be difficult to know where to start. A specialist in orthodontics, webinar host Sander van der Linden will be discussing ClearCorrect from Straumann. Focusing on areas such as case selection and how to avoid malocclusion, the free Straumann Group webinar will be held on Tuesday, 3 December.

By the end of the webinar, Van der Linden hopes participants will understand the basic principles of alignment treatment. This includes knowing what the best cases are to start with and which are not, and understanding the step-by-step process involved, from recording to set-up of interproximal reduction and engagers.

Van der Linden graduated from the Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam in 2012. Since then, he has gone on to specialise in obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome, achieving official accreditation in implant dentistry and becoming a certified manufacturer of mandibular repositioning devices. In 2016, Van der Linden received his MSc in orthodontics from the University of Münster in Germany, where he became an expert in mini-screws and aligners.

The 1-hour webinar, titled “Introduction of clear aligners: Are you curious?”, will be broadcast live on Tuesday, 3 December, at 7 p.m. GMT. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.

Dental professionals who are interested in attending the course may register online here.
